Monroe is home.

Mike grew up and raised his family here in Monroe. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1989 and married his wife, Connie, shortly thereafter. He raised his two kids in Monroe and is a frequent sports coach, including football and baseball for St. John’s. He now enjoys spending timing with his three grandchildren.

Mike is the Financial Secretary-Treasurer for LiUNA Local 499, a construction building trades union. He has been a member of LiUNA for 33 years, and has served as a union representative for 17 years. He serves as the Executive Vice President of the Monroe Lenawee AFL-CIO, and is a board member for the Monroe-Lenawee United Way, Cultivate Community, and NAACP Chapter 3164. Mike spends his free time volunteering with Project Ramp, bell ringing for the Salvation Army, and working food pantries.
